What is Washed Stone?
Washed stone is a type of outdoor paving used in squares, pedestrian areas, sidewalks, park walkways, gardens, monumental areas, terraces, pool edges, and more. This material combines practicality, safety, and resistance to weather conditions with the natural characteristics of gravel and the simplicity of concrete. It offers the possibility to create a wide range of configurations, types, color combinations, and customizations.
Technical Information
Washed gravel pavements are created using batch concrete, poured in place, and enriched with a mixture of specially formulated additives and fibers. This process allows for the exposure of the previously selected inert aggregate incorporated into the mixture through careful washing.
The aggregates can be selected in various shapes and colors and can be combined with gray or white concrete, along with neutral or colored additives. Additionally, it is possible to create inserts with different materials or to realize custom designs by simply adjusting the mix design between pouring phases.
